What is Kukorinis v. Walmart Inc.?

The lawsuit claimed that Walmart let some people buy bagged citrus and weighed meat at a higher price than the lowest in-store advertised price. Kukorinis alleged that the checkout machines would raise the weight of the goods when marked at discounted price, which meant you paid more than what was advertised.

Kukorinis also claimed that some of the bagged citrus didn’t match the advertised weight, which meant you ended up paying more per unit of weight.

The end result is that Walmart settled and if you made enough purchases of those products from Walmart, you can get a small settlement check.

How can I find old Walmart receipts?

Unless you are a receipt hoarder, chances are you don’t have your Walmart receipts from 2018. Or 2019. Or 2020. Or last week.

But if you have a receipt, you can go to Walmart and set up an account. Once you put your credit card on file, they will try to link up all your purchases. Here are the instructions for doing that.

If you want to look up a single receipt, and you have a lot of specific information, you can use the receipt lookup tool. This could be useful if you know you made some big purchases and want the 2% instead of the $10 or $25 payout without proof.
