Build Healthy Habits with Mint Momentum

Building habits can be difficult but even one small action a day can add up over time, helping you develop healthier habits in the long run. That’s why we are so thrilled to announce the launch of Mint Momentum, a new feature update designed to acknowledge and reward the small actions you’re already taking, and turn them into consistent financial habits.

Mint Momentum has a whole host of fun features including a monthly activity ring, trackable points, and a leaderboard to show you how you’re doing in comparison to your peers, for those of you who appreciate a healthy dose of competition! With each activity you complete within the app, whether it’s creating a new budget or simply checking your goals, you earn points. Your monthly activity ring closes once you’ve earned 40 points. Comparing your monthly rings side-by-side gives you a fun, visual representation of your progress.

How it works

With Mint Momentum, you’ll be able to accumulate points for completing healthy habits in the app:

  • Awareness Habits, such as viewing your budgets, bills, and goals, give you +1 points.
  • Action Habits, such as recategorizing transactions or setting goals, give you +5 points.

How to access

There are two easy ways to track your progress:

  • Completing activities and clicking on the piggybank pop up takes you to your activity tracker
  • Clicking into the activity tracking page from your profile

We’re dedicated to helping people change their behaviors, and manage their money without the extra stress. We know that it can feel overwhelming to stay on top of your finances and stick to maintaining healthy habits. Mint Momentum will make that process feel easy, achievable, and second nature. Even if it’s only for five minutes a day, taking the #TimeToMint will help you build strong financial habits so you’re one step closer to reaching your goals.
